You can catch them during the day when the tide is moving. Just not the best. I only fish a hour before sunrise, or sunset to an hour after. That is the best time, and morning is the better of the 2. A lot less people in your way. I don't really fish on the weekend either for the same reason. Gotta get out early, and have some frisky baits. Before sunrise I have caught many on 4 to 6 in Bomber , and Yozuri plugs shallow divers.
