Beachin It

Post by Kyddvicous13 » Sat Sep 17, 2011 8:20 pm

We finally made a trip out to the sand last night. Still not much going on this month, water is too hot. We've only put two fish on the beach this month and both pretty unimpressive. The wife got a 5' and change bull a couple weeks ago, and a small goliath last night . Both were released successfully without any hardware in them.

And his tail is still in the water, the shadow from the flash makes it look like dry sand.

Yea they're a nuisance for us, chew up perfectly good shark baits and rarely get hooked. Then when you do hook its like reeling in a stump lol. That's why I love the ocean though you never know whats gonna pick your bait up. I got a tarpon in February on one of my shark rigs. Guess he was a couple months early to the party.

My Dad hooked this one when he came to visit, got it on my 6/0 made it alot more fun for him, biggest fish he's ever caught too.

Thanks, I'm hoping the second half of the migration will be as generous as the first half was this year
