going to the big buck show?
I have yet to take the time to go.
This year (like last year) it is in Tampa. Any of you all going to it? Since it's scallop season, I am thinking of hitting it Friday, opening day. Get out a little early from work, it starts at 3pm Friday. Then take the boat out Sat. and Sun.

This thing has become a glorified flea market/t-shirt sales platform. Nothing like it used to be. Doubt I will ever go back. I did see a few familiar faces, though.

yeah we were a bit sickened by the every 2nd row of resorts offering to take a vacation with them in Florida.

Ran into an old friend of mine there. We were walking around and one of the vendors stuck some pamphlet in my buddies face and said, "Hey are you a hunter?"
My buddy is pretty salty to begin with, and has a very deep Alabama accent, and replied "No, I weave baskets for a pass-time."
I about hit the floor laughing....

Thanks for saving me $20+ dollars. I was going to take my daughter there today but she got sick. Doesn't sound like I missed much.

I went Saturday. It wasn't that bad. In general all shows have gone down the drain. If I don't want to look at tactical stuff or things with zombies on it.........gun shows aren't worth going to anymore.
The obnoxious time share people I could definitely do without. There was enough cool product displays mixed in with the garbage to make it interesting. Bryan Ferguson the longbow expert was a good show.

I went to the show and like others was very disappointed. I spent most of my time watching the turkey calling contest which I enjoyed. If I go back again it will only be for the contest. My goal is to be a competitor next year instead of a spectator.
