Lost shotgun

Post by Cr0ck1 » Tue Dec 02, 2014 5:15 pm

Lost shotgun in croom.

If anyone finds an over and under lost shotgun in croom its mine.

Its an over and under stoeger. It has a black bullet holster on it with a bronze "ducks unlimited" square inlay in the stock.

Put it on the back of my tailgate, took a phone call and forgot and drove away.

Road it could be on. FR7 between FR12 and croom rd.

I think someone on a horse might of picked it up because im sure i know where it possibly fell off and there was horse prints and crap all around like someone got off the horse to pick it up.

If found or if you know who might have it, please contact

Damm, but look on the bright side, it could have been a $1500 Browning or a $2500 Beretta O/U...

It is a bad thing to loose a shotgun under such circumstances. Where are the decent folks we claim to be? It would seem that whoever found the gun should be trying to find the owner just as desperately as Carlos is wanting it returned. Here's hoping someone will do the right thing.

Just an idea...but I would check with Hernando county sheriffs office. If it was the horse folks that picked it up, there is a good chance they turned it in as opposed to keeping it

Do pawn shops run the numbers to see if anything comes up stolen? If so, then you may have a chance at getting it back.
Keep your eyes on Fl Gun Trader and those sites too.

More stuff is lost leaving things on the roof or tailgate of vehicles. Good luck getting it back & not doing it again. I'm in the 2x club. Back in the day I was installing an 8 track player in my first car, put a big heavy mug of beer on the roof, finished the job & drove thru town to show a buddy. When I pulled into his driveway his father was looking at me oddly, I got out and had a cold one was waiting for me, underage to boot. #2 I put a glock 40 on the tailgate of a quad, turned away for a sec and a kid drives off with me running after him yelling Nooooo, It took a while but we found it. :oops

I realize it's a day late and a dollar short, but......

I have a picture of every gun, with a close up pic of the serial # in a file. I have both developed pictures, and the pics stored online. Also have written down every gun with serial # and a brief description, with estimated sale value. That's in case God forbid one get stolen. Or I get run over by a bus my wife will know what they are worth, and not what I told her I paid for them :pinch :rolleyes

It sucks but It happens. On the opening day of gen gun this year I got back to my truck that was kinda parallel parked between a couple trees. I was in a hurry and leaned my rifle on my front tire, packed the rest of my gear got in my truck, backed up and pulled off. Got a couple hundred yards down the road and it hit me :o .I went back and there it was run over long ways and mashed in the dirt. But believe it or not no damage was done besides the bolt handle is a little closer to the stock now. Checked the scope the next day and it was still on. So mine turned out ok but it sure made me feel stupid.
