Gigging Frogs in the Everglades off Airboat

Post by EBOutdoors » Mon Aug 06, 2018 9:36 pm

Took the airboat out last weekend to go frog gigging in the glades. Had a blast! Plenty of frogs and gators!

Video of our trip...

EBOutdoors,
Enjoyed your froggin' video! You young folks sure bring up some good old memories! We used to say we were "jerkin' his britches off" when we cleaned the frogs. My wife used to say frog legs taste like "fishy chicken".
Most of our activities were in Orange County, BD (before Disney), lots of time on the St.Johns from Lake Winder north to Possum Bluff and beyond. Lots of frogs in small wet weather ponds in the woods. We could drive to the ponds in the truck and wade the edges and fill a sack.
Keep up the interesting videos!

Treefarmer we love to hear that! Might even use 'jerkin' his britches off' next time we clean them! :)
So much land has been developed today that it's really limiting us down to fewer and fewer frogging and hunting areas here in South Florida. But we really enjoy getting out on the airboat and cruising the glades at nighttime. There's absolutely nothing like it.

Thanks for watching! We posted another frogging video today that you might like...
