Kids hunting outfits (hand me downs)

Post by jp328 » Tue Aug 11, 2009 3:55 pm

How about we start a thread for hand me down hunting outfits for kids. My kids is growing fast. Every year we are buying him new stuff, pants, shirts, jackets and boots. I am willing to head this up if there is an interest. I am willing to receive items, post on the site what I have (items and sizes) and either meet people that are local, or send items to people that can use them for the cost of shipping.

Does anyone see a need for this?

Jay

Sounds good. My son put on a set of coveralls and he could go crabbin in the things. This is a great idea. I have a bunch of stuff, but it would be for boys under 5

I think this is a great idea. My kid is 11 and grows fast., Last year i bought all new gear including boots and it was used twice. i wound up putting it in the salvation army bin. I would rather put it in the hands of a kid who will use it in the woods staying out of trouble.Ill check to see what we have..

Its funny (not really) how expensive kids stuff is, and it only gets used for one year before it is outgrown. Ill have my wife take inventory of stuff my boy has outgrown

Does it sound like this is a go? My son outgrown things every year. How do people think this will work best. Have one person pile things up or just post it here and each person can handle it?

Kemster..I think I have some stuff for you. My 15yr old has outgrown his stuff, but he is 6'2'' and 180lbs. I think I have some overalls in mossy oak and some shirts to match.
