GOM, Hungry Gags 5-28-11

Post by Rod Father » Mon May 30, 2011 4:05 pm

Went out this past Saturday with a buddy "Rob" and took my neighbor "Jimbo" and his son " Chase" with us to make a crew of 4. The day started out kind of slow with acouple of Red Grouper that where legal size to keep and after acouple of hours of catch and release of just short fish, I decided it was time to take them to the "Cherry Hole". I haven't fished the cherry hole in a year and ahalf and figured it would be prime right now to catch some bigguns. We got anchored up and all four of us hooked up at the same time, Gag after Gag came up, we could have easily had our limit of Gags acouple times over, it didn't matter what bait we sent down these pigs were hungry. Finally after throwing back all these Gags we finally started get some Red Groupers to bite. We finished the day with 5 Red Grouper and a AJ for the smoker.

Atleast Jimbo and Chase had a good time its been awhile since they have been out and they got to put some fish in the freezer. Heres some pics of heartbreak.
