That's a big fish and probably great to eat. Too bad its an invasive species. Too many people from other countries are dumping these and other fish from their homeland and they're ruining the native fish.

Most cichlids, pacus and oscars, etc. were introduced from people dumping their aquarium fish in the canals and ponds. They were brought here to be pets, but adapted to the local environment and now you can't get rid of them. Kind of like the pythons, iguanas, New Yorkers, etc. :D

Very true but there's also an issue with the Asian carp up north and the Snakehead also from Asia just about everywhere else including Florida. People are just stupid to dump their aquariums but the other is plain criminal.

Also with all the fish hatchery in Florida when a hurricane blows through it floods and all the exotics get out and have no problem adapting and out competing the locals! How did it taste?

If you're asking me how it tastes, I have no idea. Wasn't my video, just one I saw posted to Facebook by some guys that fish for peacocks and other exotics down south.
