thanks for the panty hose secret K. but I don't think you need to wear em 24/7 LOL. I take a nap on the ground almost everytime I go out and have not found 1 tick yet. I almost always use the thermacell. I think the knee high rubber boots help keep insects at bay. I use a spray I mix myself if it gets real bad, permethrin-10 from tractor supply ( a 10 % solution ) mixed 1:100 with water, do you think that is safe/effective and safe for skin or for clothes only? also I soak my used thermacell pads in it, let dry and was thinking of using those. do you think the fumes from the pads soaked in this stuff will be safe? I haven't tried em yet and have my doubts about the fumes from the store bought pads. what's your pro opinion? just for peace of mind I often shower with kwell or another crab/lice shampoo/lotion after a day in the woods to help with the heebie jeebies. only had chigger bites 1 time down here in warm weather and ankle high boots.

I get redbugs(chiggers) bad. I shower in dog shampoo, then in regular shampoo after. Only during the summer scouting I get them so bad

When I was a kid growing up my grandpa would rub a little turpentine on our ankles before we went into the woods. Never had any ticks or chiggers.

when they used the gas for crabs, did they then set the bush on fire and napalm their azz's?

You shave a strip down the middle, set the sides on fire, and when the crabs come out you stab them with an icepick!

I remember when I was getting my state certification in pest control..we had a parasite class. I can tell you if I ever had crabs, I would gladly pour gas on myself. Those are some NASTY critters

we need to re-tittle, this to ticks chiggers and crabs,LOL. while attending a small college in new England in the 70's we had a crab break out (all it takes is a couple of very popular girls) where over 90 % of the students had them at the same time. the local towns couldn't keep up with the demand for the qwell lotion/shampoo and had to get an emergency order from Boston. it was funny as hell watching everyone in class twitching and squirming in their seats and most of the students sported the shaved down below look for a while.

Absolutely works 100%. But it has a very strong smell about it

Can you recommend a concentration and Brand?

^^ I couldn't tell you now as I haven't used it in years. I use permethrin spray on my pants and boots nowadays as it is scent free
