i now.. there was actually 3 there.. one big sow, one big bore, and the baby.. the big ones smelled me and ran. but the baby was in the wallow and didnt seem to care i had him in my sights..

If you get rid of your big boars the rest will be easey to hunt. I love getting charged it makes you feel alive. My son thinks I'm nuts. :lol:

congrats on the boar Crock. I would say that hog weighed at least 180 lbs and to me looked like a young boar. the only true way to know is the amount of teeth in his head. very cool color and a great job!! :cool:

What are you shooting a 22 lr? Step up to a mag or my favorite the 22 hornet. And no head shots, :lol: go for the neck just behind and below the ear. Great hog though good work.

Spent the morning de-boning all the meat. I cut some absolutely beautiful roasts off the hams. Those should be good baked in the oven.
The backstraps cleaned up real nice. Should be about 4 packages per strap.(Maybe 2 1/2 on the one Cr0ck removed) :lol:

I'll probably run it up to the butcher and get sausage made out of the rest.
Just estimating, I have around 80 pounds of meat in the cooler

All of the stank is gone too. Baking soda did the trick ;-)
