Because they are destroying $1000's of dollars of manicured lawns. Me and a friend of mine do it as a hobby, and a pass-time.

Hey I really enjoy your posts on hog trapping. Recently you mentioned that you do it as a hobby and I wanted to see if I could maybe tag along on one of your jobs to learn and help you guys, as I am interested in starting myself. Where do you guys find jobs and/or market what you do?
Thanks

Honestly, I have not trapped in a while. They built a massive subdivision just down the road from where I was trapping. Word on the street is they brought in corral traps and hog doggers and cleaned it out. Since then he hasn't had any issues with them. This post was from a couple years ago....

Best advice is to get a couple traps that you can depend on, that you know will work and hold a big hog. Second, advertise the service on CL. 3rd, have a plan to get them out of the trap and gone from the property. SHooting them in the trap is not the best way to go about it, and not recommended.

Best to put them down before transport unless you have a feral swine dealer license from DOACS. If the state catches you transporting live without a license there can be fines.
