New Spot

Post by john l » Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:13 pm

Got a phone call yesterday about doing some trapping out on a large ranch. I loaded up the trap this morning and headed out to the property. When I arrived I was surprised seeing just how large this piece of land was. :rockon The owners seem to be very nice and showed me around the ranch and the damage the hogs are causing. The place was tore up! I wasn't there 5 min's when I noticed a large turkey walking around in one of the pastures. This dang thing had a huge "Beard" guess thats what you turkey hunters call them. It was dragging on the ground  looked like a paint brush hanging off his chest  I set the trap up and looked around some more with the owners. I saw over 15 turkeys and lots of hog sigh. They gave me permission to hunt / trap whatever I want minus the deer and cattle. And I'm hoping if they are happy with my population control in the future they will allow me to deer hunt also. Seeing no one hunts the land it's like a zoo. :clap The hogs will be hitting the ground soon, everything else will get a pass for now. :toast I'll post some pic's soon

Does this property come inclusive with a sugar momma?
I don't hunt turkeys because I want to, I hunt them because I have to. ~Colonel Tom Kelly

Maybe later, not too interested in turkey hunting. Doesn't seem very sporting when they are walking all over the darn place. I'll start with the hog population first. I set up two cam's out there so hopefully I'll have some pic's here shortly. :rockon

Should have gave me a call. I would have helped mave the trap.

Been so busy with work I haven't had time to go keep bait in the trap. :pinch
