Hog trap set

Post by Iluv2hunt » Wed May 18, 2011 2:27 pm

Me and ole MICK set a trap this morning in a subdivision. Homeowner said he is seeing 2 big ones every morning right at daylight.

Found some fresh rootin and some old, and a few active trails. Put the trap right on the most active trail with the door opening right on it. Baited up with some dry corn and some strawberry jello packets.

Hope to be skinnin one tomorrow.

BTW, he builds a badass trap, and he could easily patent his door/trip design. Its nice to be able to set a trap w/o having a guillotine door slamming on your legs

Finally got some wildlife on the camera last nite.

I realized now the date/time are wrong on the camera Based on when it took my pic changing the card, its right at 12 hours off. This big ole nanny swamp donkey came to investigate

Are you using sour corn for the trap?

Corn soaked in beer, water, strawberry cool aid, and nestle chocolate syrup. sprinkled a pack of chocolate pudding mix last night and they finally showed up after a week

Looks like the piggies are growing up fast. Those have got to be getting close to prime roasting size.
