Traps set again

Post by Iluv2hunt » Tue Oct 18, 2011 10:41 am

The hogs vacated earlier this summer from my customers yard. I left the traps there because they were kinda hidden out of the way, and I knew they would be back eventually. I called him last Friday just to touch base and let him know I would come remove the traps if he wanted me to since the hogs hadn't returned, or leave them there...

Ironically, that night they hit his yard out of the blue. He didn't call me till yesterday afternoon, so I went over there this morning and got them cleaned out, moved, and reset, brushed in, and baited. They were definitely there last night, as I found some rooting that looked only a few hours old and could smell one

The sow was about 85# gilt. You won't find one better for eating than that right there. Good and fat, someone has a corn feeder going around there

That is funny Gary.

Red is packed in ice till I get back from the woods Monday. My wife is gonna be on "go top off the ice daily in Al's dead critter cooler~duty" till I get back. I got my buddy mannin the traps for the weekend. Hope to have some dead muzzleloader critters in the other cooler this weekend

Trust me, they are wild as wild can get. We have taken over 30 hogs off of this property and I have yet to see a black piney wood rooter yet. They are either red, or spotted. All of them
