hog & a few birds

when does most sows finish having pigs? the last 2 i shot last week were loaded...i think early march...seeing a few new gobblers running around.and bird groups getting smaller...

jim, they never stop breeding. can breed 3 times a year. gestation time is about 3months 3 weeks.

I've also read that they are like coyotes in that the more pressure is on them, the bigger the litters to make sure some survive. It's one of the things that make it so hard to control their population. I heard it's getting so bad in parts of Texas that farmers pay hunters to come kill the pigs, instead of the hunters having to pay to hunt somewhere.
