Trail cam pics

Post by CitySlicker » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:49 am

I set my cam out 3 weeks ago. Had it on one of the pieces of state land I like to hunt. I ended up with 48 events over that time period with most having pics of game.
mom, and her little one.

Now this is what I'm talking about, and still a long way to go.

Had enough info. on this local. so I moved my camera should have some more shots in 3 to 4 weeks.

Dang fine deer man. You definitely got those public land deer figured out. When I go up this weekend I am gonna put all 3 of my cams out for one final time this year, then put them away. I put one in a new spot 2 weeks ago and am dying to see what I got

Nice pics, CitySlicker! And I just bet you're the kind of guy who would keep the exact location of where you had that camera a secret! I know I sure would! LOL :toast :rockon

Best of luck in getting one them bucks this year! :D

First thing I looked at was trees to climb. Both sides of the palm are perfect with back cover and everthing. Great Pixs and you are braver than I am (camera on public ground) lost to many ladder stands to even think about leaving camera out.

Nice deer. And that hog ain't bad neither. You must have that camera nice and camo'd in and in a solid security box to feel comfortable leaving it on public land. Either that, or you had to walk a really really long way back thru some really deep stuff to get to that spot and have the gps coords locked in ur gps to be able to find it again.

I do not worry about thieves to much.90% of the areas I hunt are fenced. Add a bike ride in a mile or so than a walk into the swamp, and all this in 90 + temps. Not to many thieves, or hunters willing to do that this time of year. Most of the guys who know me also know if I caught them they would be walking out of the woods with there head looking like a piece of lighter knot.

I do the same thing on public land, yet They got one from me 2 years ago in the middle of August, during the week of a tropical storm. This is the biggest block of woods in this wma and in the very middle of it and someone jackwad still found it and helped himself to it
