Cleaning out some stuff in the house today we found some Indian artifacts that my FIL must have found working the fields. One is a common spear point but the other is much larger. It almost looks like a knife, about 7"-8" long and about 31/2" wide at one end to a rounded point.Anyone on here know much about the larger points? This would be to large I think to put on a spear. I will post some pics when I can. Thanks,Jeff.

we use to find lots of small points in the fields after we ran the disc up in indiana. some fields seemed to hold more than others. wish i would have kept them.

brookville was in the news yesterday, possible guiness book of world record at the canoe festival they have. worlds biggest chicken fry or something. the field we use to find a lot of them in was across the street from rockdale united methodist, across the creek there was a 30 or 40 acre spot that always had points.

I found a real nice spear point in Green swamp wma a few years back while I was turkey hunting. They just tilled a fire break and it was sitting right on top of the dirt in the middle of the road. It's in perfect shape about 2.5" purple and white I think its made out of corral but I don't know I'll try and post up a pic of it later.

I walked through that field when I was a boy....I was hanging out with a buddy named Justin Seifert, who lived down there in Rockdale across from the church.

I'll post some up when I get home, should be next week sometime. I looked all over online and found something similar that was valued around 1000.00. I'm gonna take it to a pro in Dade city and find out for sure. It's some kind of knife I believe.

Would you be interested in selling or trading for the point?
