New favorite NASCAR driver.

Post by bodysnatcher » Wed Jul 06, 2011 4:17 pm

I have a new driver to cheer for. Morgan Shepherd. Yes, I said Morgan Shepherd. If all goes well today my son Josh is getting his NASCAR physical and will be joining Shepherd pit crew. I wounder if it might be to early to start bugging him for Daytona tickets next year.

He runs in just the Nationwide series doesn't he?

Good luck to him. I am a Nascar junkie

He was at the shop late last night so he did not call me. The wife talked to him today and the up date is he will not be at this weekend's race. But, starting the next week he will be part of the pit crew. :rockon :rockon :rockon :rockon

Well after Shepherds wreck last weekend I have not been able to talk to me son. He has been at the shop getting the car ready for this weekend. He just shot me a message that he is off to Loudon. and is the new gas man.

Sweet. That is not an easy job. Those cans weigh a ton. Plus they don't have a catch can man anymore so he doesn't have anyone to toss the can and catch the full one

He was told he would be the gas man for the NH race. But right before the first pit the jack man said he had to do the front tire so he was going over as jack man. It was the first time over the wall in a race for him. I bet he :sheet his pants. LOL

Yeah from the way I understand it, the jack man sets the tone for the whole pit stop. Everyone depends on him to get the car up, and the driver can't leave till he drops the jack. Ive heard those jacks are like 100# also.
Hell it takes me 15 minutes to find my lug wrench. These guys change 4 tires, get 2 cans of fuel, a clean windshield and a chassis adjustment in 14 seconds
