just picked up a model 93 f brand new in the box for 250 what does everybody think was it a good deal

I had one for a while few years ago and it was a decent gun but the stock sucked.
That plastic stock is too flimsy to hold the action in place tightly. When you tighten up on the action screw the stock will bend out of shape. I always had a flyer or two when shooting groups and I'm sure it was due to the flimsy stock. I bedded the action into the stock and it helped some but still got occasional flyers. I ended up barrowing a wood stock from a friend's 93G and trying it and it stopped having random flyers... except ones I caused. The rifle had good accuracy potential but I got busy with other "toys" so I traded it off for something else. For shooting small hogs at moderate range it will be fine.
