Myakka minnows and poppers

Post by fishindad » Sat Apr 26, 2014 8:01 pm

Hernia surgery wed... :-( Cant go out anymore and I am going to be out of commission for a while so..... I started tying some minnows and poppers. Its pretty cool that these Myakka minnows were designed by a local guide Steve Gibson. Pretty easy to tie and look good too. 2-3 weeks... there is going to be alot of jig and fly tying no fishing... :-(

Thanks man. I have an intergial. It stinks. Got bad this past weekend. By the end of every afternoon, i am laid up right now. NOT fun. I understand its about a week before you are able to do much. Then its a few month full recovery. :-( I just want to be better for gator season!

Right above the groin. (Left side for me) Literally bulges out. Gets pretty sore by days end.

One of the check station guys up at Chassahowitzka had it done and he was out for almost two months during gun. Hope you get over the operation but at least you can still do jig stockpiling. Went back out to Skyway Thursday and only got one pompano but too small to keep.

Man I use to kill the bream using poppers when I was a kid. I bought a $20 fly rod at the flea market and would spend a bunch of money (to a kid) on poppers. They would last a few fish until a bass got ahold of it. Lots of fun right there! Get well soon. Hernias are no joke. My FIL has a bad one and hasn't gotten it fixed. He's stubborn as an old mule...
