Catfishing on Lake Seminole

Post by vonnick52 » Sun Apr 25, 2010 8:07 am

Went out on a buddy's jonboat yesterday and caught 18 catfish between the 3 of us. We were fishing in the middle of the cattails with bobbers and stinkbait. Good times, I hadn't been freshwater fishing in ages. No pics, unfortunately, so I reckon it was all a figment of my imagination.

Now, time to fry 'em up.

Were they butter cats or channel cats?

That's when I would've been around there. Don't remember that one,I do remember a boat exploding at Bay Pines killing a few.

Nasty red water.....moccasin nests.....dead kids......exploding boats.....sounds like a really peaceful tranquil setting.....if theyd just have a hangin or two and maybe a driveby :gangsta itta be perfect.....just kiddin....bet them catfish will eat pretty good.

It was a mixture of channels and butters, mostly channels. They eat good, just fried some of them up. The woman liked 'em too.

I thought the lake was pretty nice considering its in the heart of residential areas and people destroy everything that's nice. It is pretty silty, but that's not cheap to remedy.

We got out there by 745 but they bit well through noon. Good time, you oughta bring your johnboat down.
