Back when I used to fish freshwater, a Zebco 33 on a Berkely Lightning rod was hard to beat! Some 8 pound Trilene XL and a hula popper, a few "Mister Twister" worms and beetle spins, maybe a 4 inch Rapala and a Rattletrap for good measure, and I was set for bass fishing!

I also had a Pflueger and a Shimano baitcaster on Ugly Stik rods with 10lb Trilene XT that worked well for bass in heavy cover or for snook off the beach.

Cane pole, crickets and red wigglers for bluegill and shellcrackers, and live minnows or beetle spins for specks (crappie).

It’s just a double barrel twelve
The stock is cracked and it kick’s like hell
It wouldn’t mean what mean’s to me to no one
I can hear his voice when I put it to my shoulder
Guns like a woman son it’s all how you hold her
He taught me a whole lot more than how to hunt
And one of these days I’ll pass it on to my son

Ugly stick-pro lite series. Abu bait caster/shakespear spinner. Culprit black and silver. I can catch them bass when no one else seems to be able to with it, a buried hook and 1/8 ounce or less bullet weight. I even catch well on the slow summer days.

Cane pole, some mono someone left at the pier, an old wine cork and paper clip I sharpened on a rock.
