So what do you all use for freshwater?

I use a shimano claris rod with shimano sedona spinning reel with braided line.

also a shimano claris rod with shimano crestfire baitcaster reel with braided line!

I use the same gear that I use for salt.
Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Same gear just cleaned well after use when I get to use in saltwater.

Tell you what I have hooked some fish I wished I had a bigger pole.

yea rackman fished for tarpon with a 2 lb test bass pole.. and wonders why it broke. LOL

Here in North Port I was fishing what they call 9 mile canal. I put a dead shiner on the bottom with the same rod that I fish for bass with and hooked what I think was a catfish and I could not get him up or near shore. After 20 min. the line gave out. At that point I wished I had my big spinning rod that I use off the peirs.
