Re: food plots???
Lime takes a while to work/change the ph of the soil. Pulverized lime works faster than pelletized but can still take up to 6 months
I only do small plots, so I run the disc, scatter the lime and fertilizer, and run the disc again to cut it all in. then scatter seeds and drag

Re: food plots???
What I do is take a soil sample during the spring and after I get my results back I add any lime at that time and disk it in and plant a spring plot. After the the 4th of July I'll round up the plot and mow a couple of weeks latter. Then once it cools off a little sometime around the 2nd week of September I put 600 lbs of 8-8-16 and disk it in and seed and drag. And hope for rain.

Lime 6 months before preferrably. Scatter fertilizer when planting
