Probably doesn't show well in the pic I just posted, but the plot I planted 2 weeks ago looks like I got very good germination. There is a green sheen to it that just isn't showin in this picture.had some deer tracks in it too in the soft spots. The plants had not formed any true leaves yet so I will try to get a better pic this weekend

Helped my buddy on his food plot yesterday after work. We re-worked the plot and plants soybeans. Forgot to take a pic before we started but it was all 18" fall food plot mix that we put in end of January begin February and we mowed it and than disced it in and planted. Its abt half an acre. Here are some pictures!

After the grass was cut.

sam03, looks like there hope, your 5th picture actually shows dust in the air! Glad you're able to plant. Soybeans are real draw, lets hope the deer don't work 'em over too soon. Iluv2hunt put us on a product, Milorganite, that kept the deer out of the peas in our garden. Might be worth it to go around the food plot with a bag and protect the plants so they can mature.

Do deer come to the feeder well with it in the open like that? I have never had luck placing them like that

Ya he has had 25 deer come in over a 4hrs to both feeder and plot. A lot walk right past the feeder to the plot cause they like it better. They even come in hours after the lawn is mowed and the kids tear up the field on atvs.

Cleaned and diced and planted a new plot last weekend and went out this weekend and checked on it and took some pictures. The soybeans are coming up nice. There are a couple trails that come through this area and there is a pond abt 100yard south of it. Should be a good spot.

After what I saw this weekend, I am convinced I will never have any decent plots on this lease due to the volume of hogs. It is ridiculous

Went out to put more fertilizer out and I was a day late...but there are so fat white tail running around. Saw a tiny fawn out there today couldn't have been more than a week old!!!

I'm going to replant next weekend and add some corn and birdseed to hopefully slow them down.
