That's his food plot. If your bean are 5 to 6 get them picked. If they stay on to long they will get tough. And you are right if he put fertilize down that could have caused it to burn like that.

I haven't put anything down. I haven't even started cleaning that area. I will find somewhere to test the soil.

Drought killed it. That stuff grows in wet areas. Hogs love it. it will come back. Its one of those things that never really goes away

Hog grass grows stupid fast. And bambi seems to like it! I have been mowing strips every weekend to try and keep it short.

Sam03, Help an ol' man out if you will please? What is "hog grass"? Lived in Orange county till I was 27, then moved to the panhandle and can't recall "hog grass" in my 67+ years. There are a lot of local names for different weeds and grasses, and when I Google "hog grass" all I get is a bunch of ads for Black&Decker yard tools. Treefarmer

That's what i have always been told by the old timers is pink root. If you pull if up when its mature the roots are pink/reddish and the hogs will destroy acres of it when its ready

Nice little tiller. When you hook it up don't forget to put the pin in!
