Dam bears are smart and got some good ideas too!

Post by Cr0ck1 » Sat Oct 06, 2012 10:13 am

Ok so i had one feeder that was getting tore up with bears. I mean i got them on trail cam full sized over 400lbs climbing trees to get to this feeder. I even had 4 full size and 3 cubs all at one time at my feeder. So i did my "Bear Proofing" and its a guaranteed work every time. So for the past month and a half not one bear can get to the feeder. I got them on cam trying and nothing. They finally just gave up. BUT NO!! I was looking at my trail cam pics and noticed that a bear knocked over a pine tree and got it propped up against the tree that the feeder is attached to. I gotta research this. There are no hogs at this spot that i have gotten on cam so rooting is out of the question.. But its just funny if they did that how smart they are. And at that angle i wont catch them on cam cause they will be coming up out of range and the top of the feeder is not in cam sight.

Doubt a bear did that. Probably just a tree that fell for whatever reason

If tree falls in the forest and no is there to see the bear use it to get your corn, does the bear still :crap: in the woods?
