Lid Cam Hog hunt

Post by Z7Bowhunter » Mon Jun 04, 2012 2:17 pm

I got a lid cam for Christmas and finally recorded a successful hunt. I shot a turkey this spring but didnt get it on camera. This past weekend I shot a hog with my bow and got pretty good footage of it. Check it out.

Thanks guys. The camera snaps to the bill of your hat. It is pretty cool once you get the hang of it. I wish you could see the impact but the riser of the bow is in the way. I recovered the hog with a great blood trail. Tried out a new broadhead called the Slick Trick Magnums and so far I like the results.

Thanks guys. The camera is a Rhino Outdoors Lid Cam. I plan doing a bit of hog hunting with it this summer so I will be ready for deer season. I would love to get a good bow shot on a deer with it. Takes a little getting used to but once you figure out how to position it you can get some pretty cool footage. I got some crazy gobbling on film this turkey season but no footage of the shot. The turkey came in quick and I forgot to rotate the lense to look down my gun barrel.

Well due to your post and the clarity of the video I had to order one of the lid cams and it is just as advertised. Does take some trial and error to get used to it but just delete what you don't like and try again. Was $149 and free shipping came Fed Ex 2nd day and has everything you need. Don't have to worry about where to carry that other camera just clip it to your hat and go.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I will continue to post my successful hunts as they happen.

HCON3 congrats on the purchase, hope to see some footage soon!

sparkfly88 it really isn't anything like the GoPro cameras that I have seen. The attached picture is a lidcam in its original package.
