out of state short term lease/permissions?
Has anyone ever seen any ad's on short term, out of state leases and/or permissions? Or possibly done anything like this? I've done a little research but most of what I'm finding are your usual yearly leases. Or maybe you are a member of a Florida lease that sells weekly permissions? The purpose behind the question is two fold......A. I'd be interested in doing something like this in a big buck state of the midwest....B. I may be in the market to purchase a smaller amount of acreage in Kentucky and try it. Thoughts?? Info? Pointers???

Why not just go to public land for a week?
You aren't going to be hunting over a feeder or anything on a short term lease, you won't have time to scout, etc so you'd save money by just going on a good public land hunt. In Florida or outside of it.

Valid point.....unless of course, the landowner had predetermined stand locations, feeders or plots, trail cam pics, etc. That's a good point though.

I'll say, from my personal experience, there is some AMAZING public land hunting in the states around the Ohio RIver....and some great private land hunting too. But, I've seen and killed more deer up there on public land believe it or not.
