Re: pennsylvania
I wasn't making fun of Pa or it's people or hunters. I said they were weaing Elmer Fudd outfits driving deer,I didn't attack anyone.Nacho knew what I meant, being from the south it's different, very different.I was mearly pointing out to someone heading to Pa what to possibly expect. I loved hunting up there and I did say how beautiful the state was. BTW,my friend made several other trips up there after that one but on bow hunts. Lighten up.

Re: pennsylvania
I can remember hunting PA and NY in the early 80's when it took an act of congress to get a doe tag... We'd sit on our stands and watch... Doe, Doe, Doe, "look that one has antlers", no those are her ears!, Doe, Doe, Doe, yearling Doe, Doe, Old Doe, "I think that one has one antler broken off", no thats a limb!, Doe, Old Doe, Yearling Doe, "look that one definately has antlers" and before you could get the gun up, boom, boom, boom, boom,... Dammm where did that guy come from... Not poking, have shot some beauties in NY and PA and the manangement practices of NYSDEC and the PAGC have changed quite a bit. Alot less hunters in the woods in 2010 up there than in 1984 too. I just enjoy the serious changes in season and knowing I will always see game. A great place to hunt!

Re: pennsylvania
Hopefully you get a second Doe permit, they have plenty of them in PA....
Re: pennsylvania
The number of tags they want to issue in some of those zones up there is staggering. I saw the numbers yesterday and I feel my chances are pretty good for #2. With a smokepole no less.M12Gunboy wrote:Hopefully you get a second Doe permit, they have plenty of them in PA....

My hunting and gun shop trip to NY and PA this year for two weeks probably isn't going to happen this fall. Good luck and have fun man!
Re: pennsylvania
Being off last week, my liason called me and informed me everyone in our group was awarded doe tags during the 2nd draw. 2 doe tags, 1 buck tag. I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but

Re: pennsylvania
PA is loaded with deer. there are a lot of hunters to, during gun season the woods are full of orange. I have hunted all over Western and Central PA. There is lots of good public land also. Where are you going to be hunting? what county?
There are no limits, except the ones we put on ourselves.

Re: pennsylvania
We just got our two doe permits in the mail for NY yesterday! Not sure if I will be able to go or not, if not Dad will have to fill both of them...
Re: pennsylvania
I'll be hunting private land in Clarion county. I received both my doe tags in the mail yesterday. Now I just need to keep flinging them arrows to get ready. One full week in big hills of PA. The next month and a half are gonna drag by.....
