Lady Luck and some Bruiser reds

Post by fishindad » Mon Sep 23, 2013 2:26 pm

Out on a family trip last weekend... I never leave without my fishing rod and some gulp. Ya never know. Saw some large patches of dark moving around.... Hmm... Looks like a big pod of fish... Why yes it was.

Opportunity + Preparation + Action = Success

39 inches and 40 inches respectively. Largest reds I have EVER caught. My son reeled in the larger one. To say he was excited to reel that fish in is an extreme understatement. All overslot fish released to fight another day!! As fast as the action started, it ended. Topped off a great weekend.

Tightlines!!

Nice fish! I remember loading the cooler with fish like that back when you still could. That's great that your son got the big one!
