Yeah that's par for the course nowadays on these quota hunts. Can't hardly draw one and noone shows up.

I had a good buck patterned in a WMA last year, and didn't get drawn for the GG gun hunt. I made myself sick trying to pick that hunt up in the FCFS redraws and never got it. Out of curiosity I drove thru there mid morning on opening day of GG season and saw 1 truck total (220 permits issued). lol

I hear ya, Didn't get any permits for 2 years and all I got was 4th choice. Go figure. May send it back and not even buy a hunting license in Fla. again this year.

I just put in for what I want only one choice and then I get my preference point if I don't get my hunt. So next year it is a shoe in.

Well between me and the 4 guys I hunt with, we struck out in archery (used our points last year) but got several 1st picks for muzzy and gen gun. All are quality low # quotas so it should be another great season. We even had a couple double draws so Ill probably return one of mine so Ill have some points for next year. I really like the "Buddy system".

Nada this year. I had preference points, but the other 2 folks that put in with me as a group did not, so that may have had an effect.

I have never seen the choices dry up like that for round 2. I guess we will have to wait for returns, which I am sure will happen at the last minute.

I got a good GG, a good Muzzy, and a good Hog Dog.

Now if I can just stick around to actually hunt them...

First year I have applied for quota permits. Nothing for muzzle loader and got Tiger Bay for Gen Gun. I am happy with what I got. Haven't hunted public land in over 20 years so I am a little excited.

I got Flying Eagle for Archery but think I'll need to turn them in. Shame.
