Permits

Post by Sharkhog » Fri Jun 08, 2018 1:29 pm

Anyone get any? I know forums died down but I am sure some people still visit the gator forums sometimes. I got Lake Toho. Never been there but my buddy has and says it is pretty decent.
Not sure if I would rather be locked up with a 12 ft shark or helping dogs pull down a big ole hog.

6 years in a row, no luck. Friends got Lake George and the river just south in Astor.

I have bombed out the last couple of years. This time my buddy and I both won a permit. I got the last one on my list so I am sure I did not place high. He got Lake Kissimmee so he did not do too bad.

I almost did until a buddy decided he wanted to try with me. We were going to split it if one of us won. Weird we both won. It is crazy how hard it is to get the permit.

I know everyone likes to deep fry it but I was given a 5lb box 1 year by a buddy, went through and made sure to grab only the cleanest cuts and made some jerky from it. It was some kind of good.

There is A way I haven't tried but I'm sure that it is just as good as the rest.

I got Polk County, now looking for a guide. (I'm new to the area)
