Bee keepers

Any bee keepers here? Im a nubie keeper with my first hive. Could use guidance from somebody that knows whats up. I have no idea what these crazy bees are doing. Going to open them up this weekend to see whats going on now and try to find the Queen

I’m in my 3rd year, started with 1 hive and now i am sitting at 18. It is the most interesting thing I have ever done. Enjoy Them. I will say beekeeping is very local so what one person does may not work somewhere else.

guess it don't matter anymore. Damn piss ants invaded the hive and there gone. Pulled frames out and they were building some nice combs. Good brood clutch and had a small patch of honey stored

Put your frames in the freezer ( if there is room)and they will be good for next time

cleaned everything up. moved location and reset up. Put a few feeders out and THERE BACK. Have a short 30 second video, but cant get it to load

May be robbed bees check at night to see if they are in the hive.

Just checked at 9:50pm and there in the hive. Not the same hive of bees as last time. These are only filling the lower super. The last colony filled both supers

Nice, caught a swarm. They well settle and do a inspection next week. I did 2 cut out today

re;ants are your enemy esp wood ants which attack at night. I would get the hive up over water. I use 55 gal cut off barrels cement blocks and 2x8,s

may have to try that. As I think about it, It may have been my fault by having feeders to close to hive.
