A medical helicopter was about to take off with Mosch, who's reportedly in "stable" condition, officials said.
UPDATED: 11:37 A.M.
Jamey Mosch, the hunter missing in the Everglades since Monday, was found alive today.
Jay Lawrence, a civilian searcher who has been driving his airboat looking for the 30-year-old North Fort Myers man, confirmed that Mosch was found this morning.
"They got him," Lawrence said. "They're talking to him. They're bringing him home. His family's out there crying right now."
Mosch was found at 11:02 a.m. today, said Michelle Batten, a Collier County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
He was found 500 to 600 yards southeast of the pond where they found a bootprint on Wednesday, Batten said.
“He appears to be in relatively good condition,” she said. “They’re flying him out.”
Mosch's mother, who wasn't at the scene, said: "They found him. He's alive, and that's all we know right now."
Robin Kent, a family friend, said she and Mosch's mother learned that he was alive when Julie Crawford, Jamey Mosch's twin sister, called them this morning.
"They're hugging and kissing," Kent said. "They're happy as hell."
