How is the water level in chass?

took a ride out to Citrus on Sunday. Those roads are in bad shape and if you have only 2wd like me, not good. I had to be real careful where I went. Everything is soft from all the rain and I did not want to get stuck.

found somebody else who loved my garden this year -- a pocket gopher. Set a trap 2x and he got passed it. Well the other day he was starting a new mound and I set the trap. He got nicked good by one of the trap prongs. Now hopefully he will leave or die.

I am going to try growing some sweet potatoes next year. Right now, I am starting a second season corn and then in sept going to start sowing in the greens , beans.

loquat jam is awesome. My neighbor made some of the best jam. Squirrels love loquats too.

I tried planting 4 jubilee watermelon seeds and 5 sugar baby melons seeds. The Jubilees busted open when they were growing from too much water. The melons were just getting going too. I did not get any of them. The sugar baby melons I got to eat 3. Was a bad year for melons. Will try again next year...

Here are some tips I learned this year about tomatoe plants besides using buckets and coffee grounds. Pull the first blooms off so that plants get stronger. As soon as the plant is loaded with tomatoes, pull the extra blooms off so the energy goes to the tomatoes Once tomatoes show color like pale y...

My tomatoes kicked butt this year. The coffee grounds as fertilizer was unbelieveable. Ended up with 70 tomatoes from 6 plants. 4 are still going, which I have using a double bucket method. I had a few horn worms but caught them early on the ones in the buckets. The 2 in the ground not so lucky. But...

You can also use a milder soap like sun light. If necessary. Basically what ever is available.

Mix it all together in a sprayer. Spray in the early morning top and bottom of leaves or late evening. This is so the plant does not get burned by the heat of the sun.
