Re: carbon arrows too light for older bows?
well took it to the archery shop today n the guy there said long as you have 5 grains of arrow weight (including tip/broadhead) for every pound you shooting then you're safe. hopefully ill make it to the 3-d shoot in crystal river tommorrow n see whether i got it sighted in as well as i thought.

Re: Thinking about a kayak *found one.. Check it*
with a canoe you center of gravity is higher so its not as good for the gulf. a decent sit on top kayak will handle choppy water with no problem, but ur gonna get wet lol. n those dry hatches up front with the big rubber cover normally dont stay dry long. water gets in through all the rivets n junk....

Re: Bait bait bait ?
take a rapala f-13 and remove the back treble hook n put a 4/0 or 5/0 worm hook on, then get a silver or watermelon jerkbait n put it on. gives you a lot more castin distance, suspends better, n gives a whole different action. fish it as close to vegetation as possible

Re: tons of baby bass
hit a couple lakes with the kayak this past week. we were gettin a ton of little bass on jerk baits and rapala f-11's near vegetation. it seems like in these lakes the bigger ones moved out torwards the middle after the spawn, n dragging a red culprit worm along the bottom real slow in the middle of...

Re: Spinning reel or Baitcaster??
spinning reels for me. less things to go wrong it seems and its fairly hard to bird's nest one. and it seems like getting a decent saltwater baitcaster will cost an arm and a leg compared to a decent saltwater spinner
