1st Deer down

Post by jtcmedic » Tue Nov 10, 2015 10:35 pm

Was was lucky to be in the right place at the right time, went to sit in my tree around 4pm after trying to get my daughter to go with me, had not seen anything on this spot all season . Grabbed some doe urine wafers I had thought well let's try. Went out and hung a couple in a tree and got up in the ladder and was watching wind was in my favor and around 5:30 he came walking out right towards me made sure the points were good and hope he turn a little for me but wouldn't but he stopped for shotImage
He went down. I reloaded and waited , texted my wife and crock, and then called my father in law , he was still down got to my first deer and then saw the nice 9 point ImageImage
I was beside my self, was able to take my first deer , use the muzzleloader my wife got me last year (inline sorry Adam) and then got to share the recovery with my father in law was a great experience. Was then able to get my kids to see the deer and my youngest said 1/2 dozen times thanks for getting me a deer dad.Image
Weighed 120lb and is in the cooler resting. Now I sit here drinking a beer still excited with my evenings events.
Thanks for listing
Be safe

First of all or first of the season? Either way congrats on your success. It's nice when you can get the family involved.

Congrats, and I won't hold it against you that you used an in-line.
