On a good note...we took the bear feeder down last weekend. Only got a few shots of bears looking for food. The cub likes to play with the rope so I tore all that down today.
Got a few does and a spike on cam Friday.
It's drying up good...so probably hunt next weekend (suppose to be only 88 ) then really hit some seeding.
We learned.... Swamp bears will eat anything you put out.

Dam it was hot and the blood suckers were out full force. Couple tree rats and a black racer. But i found a spike shed on my way in.

I hunted Saturday but that was all I can put up with. I saw 3 each sitting but it's just too hot.

Too hot of a weekend is an understatement . I was at my stand yesterday at 2:49 pm and it was 92 and according to WeatherBug it felt like 97. At 5:00 pm it was 97 and felt like 103. Didn't see a thing. This morning only had a Turkey around my feeder and it was freaking hot by 9:00 am. The plan was to stay until Wednesday but decided to quit and end the torture. Back home sipping cold ones.

Not sure if I am going back this weekend or not. Sunday is my big 4-0, and I am not sure if I am supposed to be here or not yet! Wife has asked me 50 times if I am going to the woods or not. Lmao

I am 2 weeks out from mine as well, whats the big deal about turning 40 that it needs to be some huge party or something. I cut it off at the pass and just told the wife lets go out to a nice meal...

Trust me I think birthdays are overrated. Especially after you turn 21. I think adults who emphasize their bday is kinda weird. I see folks who celebrate their bday for a whole week or even month. I'd settle for a beer and a b* and call it a day. No big deal to me
