First Jaguar Guapote in a long time

Post by JDiaz » Mon Apr 12, 2010 9:44 am

Went out this yesterday morning with my dad. It was a good day, i saw some peacocks but none wanted to bite. The only fish i caught was a Jaguar Guapote, i haven't seen them or caught them in more than 10 years. It brought back some childhood memories. I was jigging the lure up and down, and twitching it so it looked like a real shrimp, i stopped for a second and i see the shrimp moving by itself lightly, hey that's not possible, i pull up the rod and it was hooked. :toast Enjoy the pics, except the one where i am :tung
Caught on a Uncle Buck's® Mini Baits(Shrimp) jigging it up and down.

That fish looks cool.
Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

This is from the FWC. The peacocks were elusive that day. Only saw one and never again.
