Political correctness finally gone too far?

SO Phil Robertson gives an interview for GQ magazine. He was asked his thoughts on gays and gave an honest answer. Now A&E has fired him from the show for his remarks. Hope the rest of the cast quits the show

I have gay friends and gay clients. While I don't agree with it, I accept it and move on. This daily crap of not offending the gays or muslims has finally gotten out of hand. And don't get me started on the Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays debacle. I put a real life situation that happened to me on my FB page yesterday

I'd suspect one of two things happens;

1. The show ends as the family will support Phil.
2. A&E will bring him back as the ratings drive the network.

Yeah, It seems like it may be a bad call to fire the head of the family on such a family based reality show.

I think they should take the show to another network either way. I have watched interview with the family and A&E has busted there balls abt stuff from the beginning from beeping stuff out and adding beeps so people think they are cruising.

A&E has been FLOODED with emails and phone calls today. They messed up bad.

I find it ironic that shows about the common man are the most popular on TV. Duck Dynasty has more viewers than any cable show ever. ANd the mini series "Hatfields and McCoy's" was the highest rated made for cable series in the history of cable. They done pissed off the average American :proud

It amazes me the media idolizes Miley but criticizes Phil. Its the world we live in. Its like we live in the twilight zone.

Would you tell your gay clients that to their faces??(i'm guessing no..) freedom of speech is great!! BUT not smart from a business standpoint.. He shot himself in the foot by doing so and now the recovery time will come and eventually the foot will heal or fall off...

i'm a gun loving/anti gov/right wing sum betch, but even I would have known when to shut up when asked loaded interview questions.
