HEY, BOO-BOO
Bear season opening, anti's in bear costumes on the news, maybe they should run around in the woods with those outfits. Looking forward to posts/pics regarding YOGI harvests.

Good luck, all of you yogi hunters out there. Sounds like its gonna be interesting to see just how many bears will be harvested. Personally I don't think they will make the goal that they had planned. Let me hear of everyone's guess how many bears will be taken. My guess 50 or less.

I think they'll meet it and I'd be really surprised if they get to hunt day three. That's for the central zone anyway. Just hope there's no major conflicts with the protesters out in the woods harassing the hunters, because I've heard they have big plans of screwing it up as much as they can.

FWC site says East and Central units are closed for Sunday, already met their objective. 207 killed state wide on day 1. I'm confused, I understood you were guaranteed 2 days to hunt but had to check the harvest report before hunting day 3. What changed?

Re: HEY, BOO-BOO
i dont understand all the hubub over hunting bears. when biologists determine that a population needs culled i have to agree with their findings. overpopulation leads to disease and starvation in any population. and the number of 3000 bears is data from 2002. i would be willing to bet we have more bears than that. yeah they can come out to the woods and cause problems but they wont do anything but push animals to hunters. morons.

300 Killed by hunters, how many by cars/disease? A drop in the bucket for any kind of meaningful culling process. Longer seasons, more issued tags, lower cost of tags in the future? I wouldn't expect the population rise to stop or decrease any time soon. It may get like Jersey around here soon, but with worse pizza.

THEY must have been, wait for it-- "SMARTER THAN YOUR AVERAGE BEAR", or looking for "A PIC-IN-IC BASKET". I was hoping I'd get to use those lines. Those too young to remember, your Mama's calling.
